About FRS Technology Co., Ltd

FRS Technology Co., Ltd. is a professional multi coaxial cable manufacturer, specializing in the custom design and production of multi-core ultra-fine coaxial cables (multi coaxial cables) for over 20 years

As a dedicated multi coaxial cable manufacturer, we focus entirely on one product category — multi-core micro-coaxial cable assemblies — and we do it better than anyone. From small-count 4-conductor bundles to high-density 256-channel harnesses, we manufacture multi coaxial cables to exact customer specifications in terms of conductor count, OD, impedance, flex performance, jacket material, and connector termination.

Our multi coaxial cables are trusted by customers in medical ultrasound imaging, endoscopic device manufacturing, and industrial non-destructive testing (NDT). These are demanding applications where signal integrity, miniaturization, and long-term reliability are non-negotiable — exactly the environment where FRS Technology's specialized multi coaxial cable manufacturing expertise delivers real value.

Whether you need a custom multi coaxial cable in prototype quantities or full production volumes, FRS Technology provides responsive engineering support, stable quality, and competitive lead times.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything engineers and procurement teams ask before specifying a micro coaxial cable supplier — from AWG selection and phase matching to MOQ, lead time, and Junkosha-equivalent pricing.

What does your company specialize in?

+

We are a micro coaxial cable manufacturer specializing in multi-core coaxial cable assemblies from 32 to 512 cores. Our core products include phase-matched bundled micro coaxial cable for ultrasound probes, NDT phased-array inspection, endoscope camera cables, catheter-grade IVUS cables (44–50 AWG), and hybrid composite cables combining signal, power, and fiber optics. We serve medical device OEMs, NDT equipment builders, and surgical robotics companies worldwide.

How long have you been manufacturing micro coaxial cables?

+

We have been an OEM micro coaxial cable manufacturer since 2003 — over 20 years of continuous production. Our cumulative output includes more than 15,000 phase-matched 256-core coaxial bundles and millions of meters of 42–46 AWG micro coaxial cable supplied to ultrasound probe manufacturers, catheter developers, and industrial NDT companies across North America, Europe, and Asia.

What is the thinnest micro coaxial cable you can produce?

+

We manufacture micro coaxial cable down to 50 AWG — 0.025 mm conductor diameter, 0.19 mm finished cable OD. This is thinner than a human hair and represents the extreme edge of coaxial cable manufacturing capability. 50 AWG is used in sub-3 French IVUS catheters where no other cable construction fits. Our standard production range covers 36 AWG (0.75 mm OD) to 50 AWG (0.19 mm OD).

Do you offer custom cable assembly services or only standard products?

+

Every cable assembly we manufacture is custom — built to your specification. We do not sell off-the-shelf catalog cables. Custom parameters include AWG (36–50), core count (1–512), impedance (50 Ω, 75 Ω, or 100 Ω differential), connector type (I-PEX, HIROSE, LEMO, BNC, custom), jacket material (PVC, PUR, PFA, FEP), phase-match tolerance, and cable length. Our engineering team also provides free DFM (Design for Manufacturability) feedback on qualified projects.

Do you provide phase-matched micro coaxial cable bundles?

+

Phase matching is our core manufacturing capability — over 70% of our bundled micro coaxial cable output is phase-matched. We TDR-measure every individual cable element, sort into ±0.25% propagation delay bins, assemble bundles from matched bins, and verify every completed bundle to ±1.0% (standard) or ±0.5% (aerospace/premium). Every phase-matched assembly ships with a per-channel TDR certificate at no additional charge.

Can you reverse-engineer an existing cable from a sample?

+

Yes. Send the cable or failed probe/catheter assembly, and we reverse-engineer the specification via TDR measurement, optical cross-section analysis, and material identification. Turnaround: 3–5 business days to generate a replacement specification with full dimensional and electrical documentation. The engineering fee is credited against the first production order.

What certifications does your factory hold?

+

Our facility is ISO 9001:2015 certified. We provide full documentation packages including Certificate of Conformance (CoC), 100% per-serial-number electrical test records, per-channel TDR phase-match certificates, RoHS/REACH declarations, and ISO 10993 biocompatibility declarations. Our documentation supports FDA 510(k) submissions, CE Technical Files, and ISO 13485 supplier qualification for medical device customers.

What manufacturing equipment does your factory use?

+

Our factory operates dedicated ePTFE dielectric extrusion lines with wall thickness control to ±0.005 mm, micro shield braiding machines for 46–50 AWG cable at ≥82% braid coverage, TDR (Time Domain Reflectometry) measurement stations for 100% per-channel impedance and propagation delay testing, and concentric layer bundle assembly workstations for up to 512-core assemblies. All production equipment is calibrated and maintained under our ISO 9001 quality system.

What is your production capacity for multi-core coaxial cable assemblies?

+

We produce 50 to 10,000+ cable assemblies per month depending on configuration complexity. For bulk micro coaxial cable, our extrusion and braiding lines run continuous production. For phase-matched bundled assemblies (128–512 cores), typical output is several hundred assemblies per month. We support prototype runs (5 pieces) through high-volume production on the same quality-controlled lines.

What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ) for prototype orders?

+

Prototype MOQ is 5 cable assemblies — enough for your design verification and initial functional testing. Bulk cable reel MOQ is 500 meters. Production MOQ is 50 assemblies per order. There is no minimum annual volume commitment. This low MOQ is a key advantage for catheter and probe development programs where specifications change frequently during the design phase.

What is the typical lead time from RFQ to prototype delivery?

+

Engineering quote turnaround is 48 hours for standard configurations and 3–5 business days for complex hybrid or novel constructions. Prototype delivery is 3–5 weeks for standard configurations (42/44 AWG, 128–256 channels). 512-channel or 46–50 AWG catheter-grade assemblies require 4–8 weeks. Repeat production orders ship in 2–4 weeks. Emergency expedite (1–3 weeks) is available with a 15–25% surcharge.

Can your factory produce hybrid cables combining coaxial, power, and fiber optic elements?

+

Yes. Hybrid composite cable is a standard product category for us. We integrate micro coaxial signal elements (42–50 AWG), differential twinax pairs (100 Ω), power conductors (18–30 AWG), single-mode and multi-mode fiber optics, thermocouples, and PTFE fluid tubes into a single assembly. Construction architectures include concentric layer, sector, counter-helical (for surgical robot torsional flex at ±270°), and flat ribbon — selected based on your mechanical and EMI isolation requirements.
